MOSQUE HOLY TOWER SYMBOL TOLERANCE BETWEEN DIVERSE PEOPLE

The Holy Tower Mosque or the Al Aqsa Manarat Qudus Mosque is an ancient mosque located in the village of the People, the City District, the Holy District, Central Java. The sacred place of the islam was founded by the Holy Sunan (Sayyid Ja'far Shadiq), a guardian figures of the waslam religious spreader in Java in 956 H or 1549 M. The mosque has a shape that resembles the temple of Java-Hindu and is made of red bricks. The 18 meter tall tower was decorated 32 ceramic plates, while the tower body was built and carved with the Javanese-Hindu tradition motif. The traditional construction technique of Java can also be seen on the head of the tower that is in the form of a jati wood-shaped building with four stems of the master's saka that supports the two piles of the tajug roof. At the top of the roof of the tajug there is a mustaka (head) such as the top of the main roof of traditional mosques in Java which refers to the architectural elements of Java-Hindu.

In the west of the mosque there is the grave of the Holy Sunan, surrounded by the graves of the journalists, ulamas, and some religious figures namely Panemihan Palembang, Prince Pedamaran, and Panemaya Condro visited tourists and pilgrims.
