The practice with the password "Yudha Siaga" was held in two stages namely Geladi Pos Komando held at the Presidential Division of Infantries I/Kostrad on 21-28 April and the field geladi held 1-20 June 2008.
The field geladi was held at four dots namely Batam, Natuna, Singakawang (West Kalimantan) and Sanggata ( East Kalimantan) by involving soldiers in the Mabes TNI environment as much as 2.418 people, Army TNI 10.388 people, Navy TNI 13.150 people, and Air Force TNI 4.615 people.
The deployed Alutsista includes 38 tanks, 19 panser, nine helicopters and one Cassa 212 aircraft from the Army TNI.
TNI Navy exerts 61 ships RI, 30 tanks of amphibious PT-76, 55 amfibi/RRF panser, 12 units Kapa K-61, three Tatra units, four M-70 rockets, six Howitzer, two Hovercraft, one combat boat, three Seriesders, 78 rubber boats, three NBO-105 helicopters, and two Bell 412 helicopters.
TNI Air Force exerts 24 combat aircraft, 31 freight aircraft, and 13 helicopters of different types.
In this activity, discenariokan foreign country "Sonora" conducts invasion to Indonesia through several points in Indonesia’s outermost regions. Advertently, President of RI on the approval of the DPR decided to reclaim the areas that have successfully occupied the enemy by forming a Combined Duty Command (Kogasgab).
Kogasgab then implements a series of Combined Operations, Air Traffic Operations (Linud), Amfibi Operations, and Air Operations at Natuna as well as Special Operations of a number of special troops from three main forces, sea and air carried out in Batam.
In addition, Kogasgab also carries out the Operation of Direct Air Attack, and Combined Land Operations in Singkawang as well as Air Attack Operation, Combined Sea Operation, Air Traffic Operation, Amfibi Operation, Administration and Combined Land Operation in Veryta.
