Located in the Indian Ocean, a widest island of 400,6 square kilometers (km2) which is 156 km south west of the capital city of Bengkulu Province called Enggano has not been camped by Indonesian researchers. There are no scientific records or journals generated from the geological islands never united with Sumatra Island.
The expansion of Widya Nusantara (EWIN) of the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) has marketed Enggano (portugis) in Indonesia means “ disappoint”. A total of 46 botanical researchers and zoology became the early team who got the task of searching, taking, carrying as many types of flora, fauna, to a living microscopic organism on the island only within 12 to 20 days.

The minimum 10 types or more flora and new fauna among samples that successfully brought can be found.
For microbial or phytofarmaka experts, finding potential compounds that can be a drug for certain diseases to be the greatest hope. While for ethnic researchers, indigenous peoples Enggano to understand the culture, custom istiadat, its knowledge of medicinal plants becomes the best teachers that need to be heard, noted, further research, and preserved.
