PRESERVED BATIK CULTURE IN THE VILLAGE OF PALBATU

In 2011 they began to dare to hold the “Festival Kampoeng Batik Palbatu” event by inviting 18 craftsmen of batik from various areas in Java to come to Jakarta providing a curritable lesson to citizens in the Palbatu street and surrounding areas with the aim to preserve batik culture with real actions.

From the festival, typing not only in the fabric but also in the corners of the narrow gang wall so it looks the batik motifs of various shades ranging from Solo batik, Yogyakarta, Cirebon, and other regional batik.
