Days before Jesus death and resurrection are solemn days. Roman Catholic Diocese of Larantuka, East Flores, East Nusa Tenggara, manifest those times in a Holly Week called Sancta Semana or in local language called Hari Bae orang Nagi.<br />

For a week, starting April 5th 2009, Catholic people of Diocese of Larantuka, a small town which commonly known as the veranda of Vatican at east Nusantara, remember the passion of Jesus until His death on crucifixion also the grief felt by Virgin Mary, the mother of Jesus. During the procession, emotion is clearly seen on each devotee. White alb of confraternity members flown as prays, weeps, and psalmody fill the cathedral, chapel, even the streets.<br />

The Holy week culminate on Good Friday on April 10th 2009. Above the boat of whale hunter of Lamalera, the procession of Good Friday is opened by holly rosary march from Tuan Meninu Chapel (the baby of Jesus Christ). Also join the march, the statue of Tuan Ma, Mater Dolorosa (Virgin Mary), and Tuan Ana’s coffin, which is believed to be the symbol Jesus Christ’s coffin. The procession in which local and Portuguese tradition melt lead thousand of devotees to the culmination point of Sancta Semana, the passion. <br />

As the each candle light goes down, mourn for Jesus salvation is vanished. The air now filled with joy, celebrating the resurrection of Jesus. On Easter Day or Alleluia Sunday, (April 12th), The Corolla is brought out from the chapel on a march. The sounds of bell from Reinha Rosaria (Confraternity of the Queen of Roses) Cathedral awaken all devotees from grief. This is the time to joy. Joy for the resurrection of Son of God, who has came to provide salvation and reconciliation with God by his death for their sins.<br />
