The EP Sukowati Field Pertamina field, Bojonegoro, East Java became the 2nd place of the implementation of the Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCUS) technology in the Pertamina working area after previously conducting the CO2 premier injection in Jatikara Court.
The historic stage of this CCUS Pertamina program aims at as many as 500 Ton CO2 to the Sukowati-18 (SKW-18) well for seven days. The implementation of the CCUS technology is expected to increase field production through the implementation of CO2 Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR).
Pertamina collaborates with various strategic partners for the development of CCS/CCUS throughout Indonesia. In addition to Sukowati Square. Pertamina is also developing CCS/CCUS programs in 7 other locations across Indonesia, namely in Central Sumatra, South Sumatra, Asri Basin, Jatikara, Gundih, East Kalimantan and Central Sulawesi.
