The military cooperation of the Navy is not only a part of the war and the point of strength, but also includes how to run the missions of peace and humanity. That’s what’s the basic organized ‘Komodo 2016’, a joint exercise between the Navy 36 countries organized by TNI in Padang and the Mentawai Islands 12-16 April 2016.
Komodo 2016 consists of three main activities namely the International Fleet Review (IFR), Multilateral Naval Exercise Komodo (MNEK) Second, and the Western Pasific Naval Symposium (WPNS) is fifteenth.
IFR is a tradition in the Navy in the form of war ship parade that forms lego anchor formation. WPNS is the meeting of the Head of the State Sea Force Staff in the Western Pacific, which this year raised the theme of "Kerjasama Maritime to maintain stability in the West Pasific region".

The highlight of the Komodo 2016 event, is the MNEK that is in the form of exercises with marine forces with heavy minutes on humanitarian and peace missions that include rescue and health operations.
In addition to Komodo 2016 also has an additional cultural agenda, namely the capital city that features participant delegation parade of various countries that have a strong fleet of marine forces such as the United States, Russia, England, Japan and South Korea and others.
The prestigious event for the world’s Navy was opened President Joko Widodo, accompanied by the Deputmantyo TNI General Gatot Nurmantyo, KSAL Laksamana Ade Supandi, and the Governor of West Sumatra Irwan Prayitno.
