Having plenty of beaches with challenging waves makes Bali Island a heaven for surfers from different parts of the world. Just for example Kuta Beach, Uluwatu Beach and Padang-Padang Beach has been known to have challenging waves, both for beginners and professional surfers.
M. Hafi AM and Roby Hendra is two between a number of craftsmen in Bali that captures opportunities behind the many needs of the surfboard. They shared his friends opened a surfboard craft workshop. The original craft results only to meet the needs of surfers in Bali is now growing through the world market, such as Korea, Australia, Germany and the United States.
From a contract house in Kuta, Bali, they produce different types of surf boards, such as ‘surf longboard’, ‘racing board’, ‘stand up paddle board’ and ‘rescue board’. The home industry produced surfing board is sold at Rp2,3 million-Rp7.5 million per unit. The price is cheap if compared to large industrial production surfboard.

A number of craftsmanships of home surfing boards claiming not using complex marketing strategies, it is not promoted at expensive costs. Marketing is done simplely, by relying on social media and testimony between surfers. Until now, it is believed to be quite potent to be able to introduce the surf board to the world market.
