Mansinam, is a small island in Doreh Bay in the West Papua capital region, it can be reached about 20 minutes by fishing boat from the city’s Kwawi coast of Manokwari. There is nothing special with the island of climbing about 800 people. Hundreds of coconut trees that decorate white sandy beaches and green hills become a common sight found in Mansinam.
Indeed this is not in the panorama of nature but the side of his history. Mansinam is the witness of the initiary arrival in order to spread the good news in the Gospel and teach the culture and modern way of living to locals who are still classified.
On February 5, 1855, the German missionary Carl Wilhelm Ottouw and Johann Gottlob Geissler trampled the foot on the island of Mansinam after previously made a cruise expedition and a stop in Batavia, Makasar, as well as Ternate. Historical heritage related to the existence of Ottouw-Geissler that can be found in Mansinam Island is a cross of the memorial of the ingress of the Gospel in Papuan soil.

Another attraction is the statue of Jesus Christ as high as 30 meters, whose development was initiated by the Indonesian government as an award form of Papua civilization history in Mansinam. A glimpse is similar to the statue of Jesus in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, finished in 2014.
Usually the Island of Mansinam is permissible visitors from the entire region and outside the blemishes to commemorate the spread of the injil date of February 5th each year.
