(A) THERE IS A SMILE IN QOM

Oi, finally here is me, a Suni from Bekasi steps down Qom, the holy city of the brothers of Syiah. Walk between the Waja (ulama) and the Prophet (may Allah be upon him) who is impressed by the intelek and flamboyan, sneaking between the girls of the Parsi whose black parlor is mysterious.

Qom, 860 thousand propinsi city is located on the central Sahara, 140 km north of the Iranian capital Teaeran. In summer, the air temperature can close to 40 degrees Celsius. However, in the cold winter air temperature can be surprising to under zero and occasionally fall snow though it is not heavy as in Teheran.

The world’s Qom as ‘Sanitary City”, no less popular with Al Azhar in Egypt. Thousands of foreign students from Islamic countries, including about 240 Indonesian students, the middle nyantri in hauzah ilmiyah (madrasah or messagetren) whose tens of the amount. Since Qom is the world’s largest Syiah educational center, almost all Iranian figures steadily religious education in the city until it is not surprising if Qom is said to be the center of prospective religious leaders as well as political leaders.

A great name as Imam Khomeini ( Iranian Revolution Leader), Prophet Muhammad Ali Khamenei (The Highest Leader of the Republic of Iran today), Verullah Rafsanjani ( Iranian President of Iran 2 period), Hujjatul Islam Sayyid Khatami (Presiden Iran before Ahmadi Nejad), Sayyid Hasan Nasrallah (Simpin Hizb Lebanonullah) and Paraollah Murtadha Muthahhari, even Husein Tabatabai, a child who is in seven years of doctoral degree with a value of 93 in Hijaz Islamic University, born from religious education center.

The city is also nicknamed "Kota Sejuta Mullah" it is a city with a long history of violence in the past. From the pre-Islamic era, when the original Persian population still worships fire, Zoroaster), the era of the Caliph of Umar bin Khatab, the disclaimer of the Mongols, the period of the Russian population until the last, in this city the Iranian army first surrendered to the militation of the Islamic Revolution while ending the regime of Shah Pahlevi.

In the Iranian Shah era a revolution of February 1979, the Iranian army invaded the madrasah-madrasah around the Hajrat Fatimah Maxumah tomb. Among them is Faiziyah, one of the most famous ilmiyah hauzah established in the 13th century of Judah. According to the story, the army of Shah casts the santri of the tower as high as eight meters. The departure of santri at Qom ahead of this emblem of Shah rises a continuing resistance to King Shah Pahlevi escaped to Egypt and Imam Khomeini began the new half of the Iranian Islamic Republic.

After Khomeini powers, Qom-pun still does not escape from trials. During the Iraqi war, dozens of Iraq rockets told the city of Qom because the President of Iraq Saddam Hussein was sure of the Qom is the spirit of the revolution against the maturity began.

About the spiritual side of Qom, Imam Jafar Shodiq, the 6th priest in the teaching of Syiah has been void, "Allah SWT has a haram ( holy place) in the city of Mecca, the Messenger of Allah in Madinah, Imam Ali AS in Najaf, while we (Ahlulbait) have a haram in the city of Qom". Until then a daughter of the descendants of the Messenger of Allah called Hajrat Fatimah Masumah who is the sister of Imam Reza ar-Ridha Imam to 8 in the tradition of Syiah, died of the world and buried here.

As the tomb of the brother in the city of Ramyshad, every day the pilgrims of various regions in Iran, even outside Iran, pray for the blessings here, because this place is also considered a substitute for the tomb of Fatimah Az-Zahra, the daughter of the unclear daughter of the existence.

In addition, in Qom there is a mosque that is trusted where Imam Mahdi will fall into the earth. Imam Age Mosque, Jamkaran, located on the suburbs of Qum. This mosque has a higher mist value than other mosques in Iran because it is believed to be established based on direct instructions from Imam Mahdi, the 12th priest or the last priest of the Syiah who believes is now a miracle and will appear at the end of the time as a survival juru.

Cash is 12 hours flight plus 2 hours transit in Doha, Qattar. After being treated with the hard faces of immigration officers, porters, traders "money changer" (which had made me targeted because Iran had a 500.000-an break money!), taxi drivers, bell boy and hotel managers, there was still a smile in Qom.
