Melasti is also called Melis or Mekiyis who are meaningful to conserve spiritually all sorts of cosmos or called "Bhuana Agung" and oneself of humans or "Bhuana Alit", especially purifying thoughts, words and deeds.

The Melasti ritual continued with the Nyepi Day with the hope of life in the earth to always be in the correct and harmonious path in accordance with the provisions of Weda's sacred web.
