CONSCIOUS ACTION OF THE REGION IN THE VILLAGE OF KATULAMPA

Bogor is known as Rain City and Angkot Thousand City is now starting to build a new image with the conscious action of its citizens who are at RT 04/RW 09 Katulampa Long, East Bogor, West Java. The community secures his hometown by painting various colors. This colorful village is similar to Jodipan village, Malang, East Java, but there is no high special spot to see the colorful village in Katulampa.

This colorful village was originally the same as villages in general, with the initiative and awareness of citizens carries the innovation of the movement of the conscious region (Gemarsawi) they embroidered the ban of Kali Katulampa and the surrounding houses with colorful paints as well as interesting images so as to beautify and beauty of their environment makes a colorful village.

Not only coloring their walls with a variety of colors, citizens also embroider open space into traditional game locations and libraries, as well as water games on the Katulampa River with the name of the ngalun or tubing so it becomes a new attraction in Bogor City.

Colorful villages inhabited about 115 family heads (KK) are expected to be a model for another region in Bogor area that empowers maintaining and transferring their environment as well as held a variety of positive activities in the community environment.

With the hard work and gotong-royong of his citizen, the Gemarsawi program made Katulampa to compressed village and occupy the first position of the village or the best village in West Java as well as the position to three national levels of 2017.
