Citarum as " nadi" life is just a history story in Tarumanegara’s glory. Civilization, culture, and river transportation are almost forgotten. But the means of transporting and crossing the Citarum river that has been around since centuries ago was still recorded in "Eretan" on the border of Bekasi-Karawang, on the Western side of the Citarum river is the Branchbungin region, Bekasi is being opposite is the territory of Batujaya, Karawang, West Java.
The crossing facilities are boats "Eretan" which serve the crossing of the Citarum river and operate for 24 hours this is the main crossing means for both border communities. From the start of pedestrians, bikes, motorcycles, mobi, even trucks that are loaded even crossed with this traditional transportation infrastructure. This view is still visible until now, which is part of the river culture that is sad by the progress of the hour.
Can not be rejected the development of many bridges accelerate the transportation culture of this river is more marginalized and finally extinct.
Nasib para mapmbang eretanpun kian was sinking with the river culture ever jaya along with also the shortening of the Citarum river pollution and other large rivers.
