Asian Games 2018 this time became first held in two cities, namely Jakarta and Palembang. The two cities have also been held when the SEA Games 2011 host and since there are 44 international sports events held in South Sumatra.

A total of 10 oilmpiade sports branches and 3 non oilmpiade branches will be cooled in Palembang. Ten oilmpiade branch is Shooting, Dayung, Kano, Beach Volleyball, Football, Tennis, Triatlon, Rock Climbing, Wheel Shoes and Slide Board.
While non oilmpiade branches, Takraw Football, Soft Tennis and Boling. All venues or branch match areas – it has been ready to use, even in several venues have been used to practice athletes.
The readiness of the venue was recycled by President Joko Widodo when reviewing the congregation of athletes in Jakabaring Saturday (14/7) then, that all the arena in Palembang is ready for the implementation of Asian Games 2018.
