Here we, people living in the border area, on the island called Miangas and Marore islands. We live on the outer islands bordering the Philippines. Yes, we live every day at one of the leading subsidiaries of the Republic of Indonesia.
Our place is amazingly beautiful, the stories of heaven. We live where the color of the sea water is equally blue with the color of the sky that houses us daily, although the area of the island we live no more than five square kilometers.
The majority of us are fishermen, just don’t know should sell fish catch where. We don’t have a sophisticated ship or cooling machine to keep the fish that we caught freshly to sell. Finally we consume the fish itself, we caught his mouth to eat the secret.
We live on small islands whose mileage is up to two days with the ship to the capital of the district called melonguane or which we call the nearest city. The ship is only two weeks once sailing to our place.
With so difficult transportation, our no wonder should buy premium subsidies for 15 to 25 thousand rupiahs per liter. The supply of soil oil is also not up to our place, so we must cook with fuel wood. Due to the distance of our island to the city closest to a separate sea with a distance of 174,088 kilometers, we are familiar with expensive prices of goods. Then no wonder, in the coin-coin rupiah market is less demanded because there is no more goods at the price below the thousand rupiahs.
This is a little story from us, people who live are limited in a border island.
