The season of rice planting is a special day for the majority of Minangkabau people, especially communities in four sub-districts in the Flatland area, West Sumatra. On those days, the custom party or “nagari” Pacu Jawi was held in the Tarab River Subdistrict, Pariangan, Splice and Limo, and in Payobasung, Payakumbuh City.
Pacu Jawi, or spur Sapi is one of the traditions of descending the Minangkabau community. This traditional dexterity event is one of the cheap entertainment festive for most people. While for the other part, Pacu Jawi is an indigenous party that is filled with the value of the tradition, namely a form of a grateful flavor to the Maha Kuasa for the results of the harvest that has been obtained.

As the Nagari Luak Gadang farmers do, Tarab River District, Flat Land District. The nagari population begins the planting season in mid June 2012 by holding the Pacu Jawi dragon at one of the rice fields. Hundreds of cow's tail are decorated in such a way, complete with steel tools that bind the animals.

Fireplaces are washed. The joki worships sluggling their dexterity controls the two wild-selling cow's tails espering the water submerged rice fields. Their full day matched adrenaline pumping, blending the dexterity of spuring cows in order to welcome the growing season. The farmers in Minang Earth again lift cangkul.
