Harmoni between the archipelago of the sky and the peace of the earth is the most appropriate word depicting the Megalitik Punden Delaying Gunung Padang site in the Karya Mukti area, Cempaka, Cianjur, West Java. This prehistoric site was first reported to the Dutch refineries N.J. Krom in 1914, and was reported back by locals in 1979.
The Megalitik Site of Gunung Padang consists of five terraces or platelets above the hills that are 989m dpl. This delayed Punden is built facing in the Northwest or leads to Mount Gede.
Punden Delayed Gunung Padang is built with Andesit rock material and basalt where in each platearan has different characteristics. The rock is arranged as a flat foundation and standing resembles a fence. between the platelets are connected with the stairs of the rock arrangement. The shape of this postponed building has a tendency that this site is used as a place of worship or a kind of religious ceremonies.
Research on the largest Megalitic site in Southeast Asia shows its life is estimated about 1500 years of SM. The life of this site’s consolidation is increasingly old comparable to the depth of rocks, this confirms that this site is built sustained by the ancestors of generation to the next generation.
