Based on the United Nations Convention on The Law of The Sea (UNCLOS), the northern Natuna Seawatering is the border of the Indonesia’s Exclusive Economic Zone. The area has the potential of marine resources and abundant diversity. It triggers foreign ships entering the territory of RI sovereignty. The foreign ship boasts using a delegation to deteriorate the wealth of fishing resources that have high economic value such as cakalang fish, tuna and barrels. Even the foreign fishermen was guided by a number of ÔCoast Guard ships when doing illegal activity in ZEE Indonesia.
The National Army of Indonesia (TNI) responds to the same by the eightÅs of the Republic of Indonesia (KRI) to secure the Natuna Waters, Riau Collections, and blocks foreign fishing vessels entering the territory of Indonesia.
